Our story
Fatto a Mano Alimentari was born from a simple idea: bring the food chef Elena Fabbri grew up with in Forte dei Marmi, Tuscany, to the people of the Bay Area. After fifteen years cooking at Sausalito's Osteria Divino and building a following with her porchetta focaccia sandwiches, Elena opened La Gastronomia di Porchetta in Fairfax in 2023 with her family — a restaurant rooted in the recipes and rhythms of Tuscan home cooking. Fatto a Mano Alimentari is the next chapter of that story, landing at West Oakland's Prescott Market.
Our food
Pasta is made fresh daily — spaghetti, bucatini, gnocchi, paccheri — tossed with sauces built the traditional way, from a slow beef bolognese to a bright pomodoro. Alongside the pasta counter you'll find lighter Tuscan classics: grilled eggplant with cucumber, olives, and feta; a hearty Tuscan bean soup; focaccia baked the way Elena's family has always made it.
